Yarnslingers was founded by writer/musician Ramona Jan in 2011, dedicating the fledgling organization to the art and craft of storytelling. 

 

Ramona's credo that, "Everyone has a story worth telling and hearing," continues to resonate in the Catskills and  the Upper Delaware River Valley. 

 

The focus of Yarnslingers remains steadfast--to create opportunities for experienced and novice memoirists to share true, first-person stories, and by doing so, engage and inspire audiences, and strengthen the empathic power of communities. Throughout the year,

 

Yarnslingers' memories come to life at cafes, art studios, libraries, churches, and theaters in the hamlets and towns in this spectacular place Yarnslingers calls home.
